I know that this is not a very flattering photo of me, but the truth is I couldn't take a very flattering photo of me wearing this lipstick. I don't think it is the right colour for me. Unfortunate, because I was so excited to buy it! I do tend to find yellow based pinks quite difficult to wear, but maybe that is just me. Ah well, it might be a tad better in the summer time when my skin warms up a little.
The lipstick colour is part of the new release (in Australia) of the Kate Moss Collection Lipstick colours, Lipstick number 16. I wish they had names, but there you go. The colour is a yellow based watermelon pink. I thought it might be a tad neon, but it is actually quite soft and natural.
Interestingly, all the Rimmel Lipsticks have different scents. Whilst my lippie in Pink Blush smells like bubblegum, Number 16 smells like watermelon. To match the colour, I suppose. I like the smell (it reminds me on Lip Smackers) however it might be a little strong for some others.
The formula is the lovely, creamy, long lasting formula that you might have come to expect from the Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks, and you will get about an hour to two hours wear before the colour fades.
I believe that this colour might look best on those of you out there with warm skin tones. On those with pink based skin (like myself) I find it tends to make my lips look enormous and bee-stung, but not in a good way.
So, in summary, I love the formula (like always), not a fan of the colour on me. Love it on others.
Have you tried Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in Number 16? Love it or leave it?
