A little while ago I completed a MAC Red Lipstick Comparison, I have since added Ruby Woo to my collection thanks to a wonderful Tim! So, I thought I would update my last post, with some information about how Ruby Woo compares.
I won't rewrite everything I have already said, just go and check out this post.
So, where does Ruby Woo fit in?
- Ruby Woo is like the matte version of MAC Red. It is is a blue based red (which is perfect for making your teeth whiter. Ruby Woo is more blue than Russia Red, and slightly less vampy.
- MAC Matte formulations are very long lasting. Ruby Woo is no exception.
- As this is a matte formulation it can be quite drying. I am not sure why, but for some reason Ruby Woo is a little more drying than Russian Red and Lady Danger.
As you may or may not be able to tell I was in a little bit of a rush when I was swatching these, so I didn't bother to sit and make the swatches look gorgeous. The colour comparison is there, so that is all that matters right? Who cares if it looks a little messy!

I haven't tried Ruby Woo, and I have heard it's drying from more than one source so I don't think it would work on my mad cracked lips. Lady Danger is my favourite MAC lippy anyway - I need that slightly more orange red.

Aren't they wonderful all lined up together! I have Russian Red but I think I need Lady Danger in my lippy wardrobe because it looks like a great summer red. I know what you mean about the mattes being drying too - I don't wear Russian Red very often for that very reason so I've had it FOREVER!
