Valentines Day 'Seperated Heart' Art

I am feeling pretty blue today - my Valentine is 3000km's away - so I decided to make a special piece of art that is kind of symbolic for me and Tim. I also was astute enough to take a photo at each step of the way, so I have a step by step do it yourself for you!

1. Paint two pieces of watercolour paper a pale blue.
2. Paint one piece of watercolour paper navy blue, wait for this to dry and use a permanent marker to draw a heart. Cut out this heart with a hobby knife.
3. Place the cut out heart over one piece of pale blue paper, and place the watercolour paper that had the heart cut out of it over the other piece of blue paper. Glue down.
4. Trace over the edges of the heart with a gold paint pen. Your art work is complete.

Happy Valentines Day!! xx
